Who we are
We see the Millwood as a thriving art center, where artisans and the community come for a unique experience, to see print artists in action, and to make excellent art.
Here's how it works
Teach you how
We built this shop for you! So come down and let us teach you how to use all our things. Classes are three hours a week for four weeks, where you'll learn the basics of either letterpress or screen printing.
Give you a place to create
Once you know how to do the things, you've got a place to do them! As a member, you're free to come in during open shop time and use all of our equipment.
Grab your friends
Once you're in the shop, you'll want your friends to join you! Invite them into future classes.
Do all the things!
Now that you know how, come make your awesome thing! Wedding invites, custom letterhead or note cards, baby announcements, concert posters, zines, business cards. Whatever you want!
How you can get involved
Come check out the shop during open shop hours. Once you have a look around, you'll want to take a class. Then you'll want to become a member, so you can come use the shop any time we are open! We'll also offer periodic weekend workshops on specialized topics (hand-lettering, book-binding, linoleum carving), quarterly Pints & Prints, and much more. Come by, and discover what you'll want to create.
Screen Print Class
Back in 1995, I wanted to make t-shirts with my own art. I had what I thought was a great idea (looking back it was pretty lame) and no skills to do it. I enrolled in Spokane Falls Community College’s Graphic Design program thinking I could get enough training out of it to make my shirts.
